WAPT? Easy. Welcome to the GEMP Project.

Take the stress out of preparing for your WITS Additional Placement Test (WAPT) with Seventh Star Tuition.

What is the Seventh Star
GEMP Project?

The GEMP Programme is a well-established Programme offered at the University of Witwatersrand, to increase the number of medical graduates. GEMP is an acronym for Graduate Entry Medical Programme, which allows individuals who meet certain minimum requirements to enter into third year medicine at WITS.

In order to qualify for GEMP consideration, a selection test is written, known as the WAPT. This test covers the content of second year MBBCh (medicine) students, including anatomy, physiology and molecular medicine. The faculty of Health science at WITS recommends students start preparing for the test immediately after their application is submitted.

Seventh Star aims to help students prepare for this test via an 11-week Programme which not only gives students access to experienced tutors, but also notes, summaries, question papers and weekly tutoring sessions.

Who is this course for?

1.  Students in their final year of study towards a Bachelor’s or Bachelor of Technology degree level with an average of at least 60% in the final two years of study.
2.  Students who have completed their degree
3.  Students who have met all the minimum requirements for science, mathematics and language outlined at wits.ac.za/health/gemp
