Thanks to Seventh Star’s exceptional tuition, my academic journey underwent a transformative ascent during my grade 11 year. Starting with an 89% overall average, I soared to new heights, culminating in a remarkable 93% overall average. My proficiency in mathematics reached an extraordinary 99%, while in physical sciences I achieved 95% by the end of the year. These outstanding results were pivotal, opening the doors to acceptance at esteemed institutions such as Tuks, Wits, and UCT for their medical programs. I matriculated at Somerset College last year with 7 distinctions hoping to get accepted into Medicine. Unfortunately I was rejected and decided to try flip to Medicine through the TUKS midyear transfer. Over the last six months I put everything I had into working towards this goal and with the help of Seventh Star I was able to successfully flip to MBChB midyear. This was a mental and emotional rollercoaster but it was worth every minute of it as I am now able to live out my dream of becoming a doctor and studying everything I love and find so much passion in. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and for the help I received from Mr Mitton and his team.

I am Ilham Ismail and I matriculated at Crawford International Pretoria in 2022, I achieved 8 distinctions in matric, which was made made possible due to the help of Mr Mitton as well. The last 6 months of my journey to transfer from bsc to medicine were by no means easy. There were a lot of ups and downs and moments of feeling as if I wanted to give up, however,I persevered due to the motivation of my family, friends and Mr Mitton. Seventh star was a major help in helping me achieve my dream to study medicine, which is something I am extremely thankful for. Medicine is a career which excites me as I want to find alternative methods to help individuals who are suffering and I wish to uplift the marginalised sectors of society. I am extremely grateful to have been presented with the opportunity to pursue this dream of mine and I hope to not let it be wasted.
