About The University Assistance

B.Sc Biological Sciences Tutoring Programme

Out of the 200 students who wish to gain entry into Medicine,  Health Sciences (after 6 months) or Veterinary Science (after 1 year) registered in the B.Sc. Biological Sciences Programme at the University of Pretoria, only 35 students are selected.

We offer specialised tutoring in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in addition we supply students with vast resources such as past papers, notes and practice tests in all the disciplines. We offer 4 hours of tuition a week and do intensive preparation prior to tests and the examinations. Past Seventh Star Alumni students who gained entry into Medicine act as mentors and give additional guidance where necessary.

“The B.Sc. Biological Science Programme is filled with lecture halls of hungry souls waiting to grab 1 of the 30 spots available for Medicine. The key is to keep focused and on the right track when surrounded by many temptations as a first year. This is exactly what Mr Mitton and Seventh Star did for us throughout this rollercoaster ride.

They managed to keep us ahead of our work, well prepared for tests and exams and filled the missing gaps made by our lecturers.

A huge thank you goes to a wonderful mentor that deserves a lot of credit for making our dreams come true.”

CHANELLE HOLTZHAUSEN

Passed her first year in Medicine with a average of above 80%

“Nobody told us that we would be competing against all faculties at the end of the first year, so you were competing against BA candidates with very high averages that wanted to pursue Medicine”.

NISEA COETSEE

Has been consistently achieving straight A's in her first two years of study
