Our approach to Physical Science is slightly different to that of Mathematics. Where Mathematics is about mastering key concepts and abstracts by means of practice (and more practice), Science is more a journey of discovery.

Our focus is to highlight the key concepts and definitions of each lesson, covering essential examples that must initially be mastered but also breaking down challenging concepts into basic fundamentals that are easy to understand. Our lessons are to the point, clear-cut and address the basics of each topic.

We take you through all the fundamentals of Physical Science with our videos: covering all topics and essentials that range from projectile motion, Newton’s laws, momentum and impulse, work, power and energy, electrostatics and electricity and the photoelectric effect in paper 1 to organic chemistry, rates of reactions, equilibrium, acids and bases, electrochemistry and fertilisers in paper 2.

Our approach is simple – we present the fundamentals, definitions and key essentials in every lesson and do key examples on each topic. There are lesson breakdowns for each lesson, explaining to students what will be covered - summarising the basic concepts and definitions of each lesson.

This is supplemented by online worksheets where students can complete assessments online and get immediate feedback. Detailed feedback is also available.

This will also be accompanied by consolidated tests to cover the more challenging and integrated questions to help learners prepare for exam-style scenarios.

In addition, we offer a live stream once a week where students can forward their immediate needs and questions via a telegram group. We believe that this interactive component is crucial for effective online learning.

Finally, we present online examination preparation workshops to help students prepare for their examinations.

We are still adamant that our lessons should be fun, and students are encouraged to participate and do well.

We believe that the journey of discovery with Physical Science should not just be about the wonder of the discovery, but the joy that accompanies the understanding of some difficult abstracts.

Mathematics has always been the elephant in the room.
Many a study has shown that a student’s performance in Mathematics directly affects their self-esteem and self-worth.

We have always believed that the right attitude and the right teaching approach are paramount to achievement and performance in this challenging discipline.

We firstly take you through all the fundamentals of Mathematics with our videos: we cover all topics and essentials that range from Algebra, Calculus and Probability in paper 1 to Analytical Geometry, Trigonometry, Euclidean Geometry and Statistics in paper 2.

Our approach is simple – we present the fundamentals, definitions and key essentials in every lesson and do key examples on each topic. There are lesson breakdowns for each lesson, explaining to students what will be covered - summarising the basic concepts and definitions of each lesson.

The culture of teaching Mathematics is about introducing a precept, developing that precept into a concept with practice and then finally using this to introduce and master difficult abstracts.

This is supplemented by online activities, where students can complete work online and get immediate feedback.

Structured Learning.

Seventh Star - Extra Lessons - Structured Learning Approach
Teach
Enforce
Practice
Our philosophy of teaching is to firstly engage with the student and to teach the precepts in a logical and systematic manner. We love creating “AHA moments” for learners – they must feel that they understand the work after watching a lesson.

We pride ourselves on being masters of invitational education – we believe that the key to educational success is to create a classroom, environment or virtual platform that kids love to learn in. Our lessons are not boring. They are designed to stimulate and to capture the imagination of the student.

The first step to success in the teaching process is to engage with the kid and to make them want to learn. Then it is our mission to teach and present the material in such a manner that it is logical and easy to follow and understand.
The second pillar of our teaching culture and philosophy is to enforce the precepts that have been introduced and for learners to form clear and understood concepts. This is largely achieved through learners practicing more examples and questions on their own.

We pride ourselves for having some of the best online revision material and exercises available. At the end of each lesson we have activities that have been compiled from past examination papers that students can complete online. They can immediately receive feedback on how they have performed and can access the detailed memos as well. This is the perfect tool for students to prepare for tests and examinations.

They can mark off a section as “complete” and proceed to the next topic, or they can watch the video on a particular topic again and retry the questions that they got wrong the first time around.

We passionately believe that one of the keys to educational success is for learners to practice and revise and for them to get consistent feedback.
The final pillar of our teaching philosophy is simple: practice makes perfect. We believe that for a student to master a concept and to form and understand abstracts, students need extensive practice.

We do not only provide students and learners with activities at the end of each lesson, but we also develop and provide consolidated tests that have more challenging questions, where various concepts are integrated. This provides students exposure on how to handle the more challenging question types asked in tests and examinations.

We also present online examination preparation workshops, particularly for matrics, closer to the examinations. These three-hour marathon sessions are designed to revise a series of topics and to go through additional questions and material usually asked in examinations.

We believe that this integrated approach of teaching, enforcing and practicing makes us the best in the educational field.
